This Valentine's Day Relive The 90s Love Songs With Ronan Keating

Bringing the romance to fans in Malaysia this Valentine’s Day, Ronan Keating will be celebrating the heart-filled occasion at Resorts World Genting with a one-night-only LOVE AT 6118 — A Valentine’s Special with Ronan Keating concert on 14th February 2020.

“I can’t wait for the Valentine’s Day show at Resorts World Genting. I will be performing an exclusive acoustic style set of all my hits plus some of my favourite Boyzone songs,” according to Keating in an interview.

“The thing that stands out from my last visit at Resorts World Genting was the clouds that came into the hotel reception on the morning we left, as it’s so high up there. It was the coolest thing to see!”

Starting his explosive career with Boyzone at just 16 years of age, Keating has grown from the lead vocalist of the sensational 90s boyband to a man with a soaring solo career, serenading millions of fans all over the world and greatly adored in Malaysia.

Keating earned his solo breakthrough with the hit song When You Say Nothing At All – featured in the movie Notting Hill – which topped the charts worldwide and has continued to infuse the magic of Boyzone love songs in his standalone singing career.

The 42-year-old singer-songwriter who finds lyrical and musical elements equally important for a good song has since released 10 albums as a solo artist and is currently finishing an upcoming eleventh studio album. “There are some very exciting duets and collaborations,” said Keating about his exciting upcoming project.

On top of an added surprise, love-struck fans can anticipate reliving a night of romance-tinged nostalgia during the concert at the Arena of Stars on February 14, 2020 – a night that Keating usually spends having dinner with his wife, Storm.

“I’m lucky that she appreciates that sometimes I have to work on February 14 but it’s a special day to do a live show, so I’m looking forward to it,” Keating shared. I’ll be getting together with my musicians soon to rehearse my new single so that will probably the first time I’ll perform it live,” he commented about the LOVE AT 6118 concert at Resorts World Genting.

Having performed in the country while on tour with Boyzone, including its 25th-anniversary tour in 2018 and the final Thank You & Goodnight Farewell Tour last year, Keating said: “I love the level of respect and kindness that I’ve always been shown on my previous visits to Malaysia. I’m lucky to have some wonderful dedicated fans who’ve been with me all through the Boyzone years and my solo career.”

The Dublin native first scored an audition to create a band inspired by English pop group Take That and was signed by Louis Walsh in 1993. Keating eventually went on to co-manage fellow Irish band Westlife in 1999 with music manager and mentor Walsh, while working on his solo debut.

In 2000, Keating released his self-titled album, Ronan which sold an incredible 4.4 million copies worldwide. A commercial success, his debut solo album produced four UK and Irish top-ten singles — When You Say Nothing At All, Life is A Rollercoaster, The Way You Make Me Feel, and Lovin’ Each Day.

In 2008, he reunited with the members of Boyzone following the tragic death of band member Stephen Gately. As a band, Boyzone introduced some of the era’s greatest hits like Picture of You, No Matter What, and Love You Anyway. The popular band concluded its final concert tour – Thank You & Goodnight – in London last October, which Keating said, “was very emotional but a great way to end what was an incredible 25 years. He added: “I’ll miss the camaraderie we had together on stage but I’m glad we’re all still friends who will always be there for each other.”

While the band has since split for good, fans can certainly look forward to a trip down memory lane with Keating’s LOVE AT 6118 — A Valentine’s Special concert, all in the dreamy setting in Genting once Valentine’s Day rolls up.
