Meeting for the first time in 1975, Russell and Hitchcock have grown from performing in pizza parlours, coffee bars and nightclubs to performing at iconic venues and sold-out shows. Their hit song ‘Lost in Love’ became one of the fastest-selling singles in the world, and their follow-up song ‘All Out of Love’ outperformed their previous single and catapulted them into stardom. In January 2020, the Herald Sun proclaimed Air Supply as one of the Top 5 Greatest Aussie Bands of all time, placing Air Supply with the likes of AC/DC, Bee Gees and INXS.

The major highlight of both Russell and Hitchcock’s careers is unarguably performing a Royal Command Performance for Prince Charles and Princess Diana and having dinner with them. It was during this dinner that Princess Diana told them that she loves her collection of Air Supply albums.
